The San Zulian is very close to S. Mark Square and many of the main tourist areas, such as: St. Mark's Cathedral, the Doges Palace, the Belltower, and a glass-blowing factory. The Doges Palace is drenched in history, art, and intrigue. With its amazing courtroom chambers, a stroll across the horrifying Bridge of Sighs, which leads into the dank prisons. The unfortunate victims of the Doges prison, spent many long years sharing stagnant puddles with large, unrulely rats. For a more uplifting view of Venice, check out the Campanile de San Marco. You can ride the elevator up 300 feet to the top of the belltower, which gives you one of the best views in Venice. Finally, check on dress codes in sacred places, and respect the star attraction - no shorts or skimpy tops allowed in the Basilica of San Marco.

The lobby and reception area are small, furnished in wood antiques. The lobby is an excellent meeting place for family and friends to gather before heading out for the day. There are some wonderful sites to see while in Venice, so if you need suggestions or directions, please feel free to ask at the front desk.
